On April 15-16 the Environmental Rights Center Bellona (ERC-Bellona) is arranging a meeting of the Northwest Russia Renewable Energy Forum. – Established by Bellona in 2008, the Northwest Russia Renewable Energy Forum is intended to function as a permanent arena for dialogue, information exchange and problem-solving related to the development of renewable energy sources in Northwest Russia.

The ERC-Bellona welcomes participation of all stakeholders working with renewable energy, or aspiring to work in the renewable energy sector in Northwest Russia.

The Northwest Russia Renewable Energy Forum is designed to stimulate:
- Analysis and discussion of the current state and the future perspectives for development of renewable energy in Northwest Russia.
- Interregional and international participation and cooperation in renewable energy development, business networking, presentation of potential projects and technology, and investor and partner searches.
- Formulation of concrete recommendations to circumvent legislative, economic, technical and psychological obstacles hindering development of renewable energy in Northwest Russia.
